FAQ

What is Rebel Spin?

Rebel is an indoor-cycling studio that focuses on high-intensity cardio, muscle-sculpting strength training, and rhythm-based choreography. What makes us different you ask? First thing’s first, we do not ride to monitors, numbers or stats. There is zero competition. Second, we pedal to the beat of the song and combine each stroke with upper body movement. Third and finally, Rebel isn’t just the name of our studio, it’s literally who we are. We are women and men who come together to stand in our purpose, and we’re here to empower and encourage you on your journey to better physical and mental health.

How much does it cost?

Whether you want to come once a month or once a day, we offer something for everyone! Please visit our Pricing page.

How do I sign up?

First download the Rebel App then create an account. Your first ride is only $15 which can be purchased on the app. If you have any questions email hello@rebelmurrieta.com.

My class is waitlisted. Should I even bother?

YES! Do not be discouraged. Our classes do fill up quickly, but as class approaches there are unexpected cancellations and sometimes “no-shows”. If you are just starting your journey at Rebel and haven’t quite got the hang of booking class, please email hello@rebelmurrieta.com.

If you ARE on the waitlist, Rebel honors first-come first-serve. Be early!

I’ve never cycled before. What should I expect?

Every class is a little different, but every class is adaptable to your fitness level. Our classes take place in a warm, intimate candlelit room. All classes are rhythm based, meaning we ride and move to the beat. There is no competition.

For first time riders, please show up 15 minutes early and let the front desk know once you arrive.

Is the room air conditioned?

We LOVE to sweat and keep the temperature at 78 degrees. When you show up for class, do not expect a cold room. We’re here to work and want to make sure you come prepared. As the room starts to move and work, things start to heat up naturally. we do have two overhead fans that are on during class for circulation. If you are concerned, try for a bike on row 2, directly under the fans.

What should I bring?

Our bikes require cycling shoes with SPD or Delta clips. Don’t have any? Don’t worry. You can rent clean shoes for just $5. We have a refillable water bottle station and offer clean towels. A cold towel will be provided immediately after class as you leave the room.

Here’s what we provide: Water and electrolyte beverages for sale, clean towels, a cold towel immediately after class, storage for personal items, a restroom, hair ties, merchandise for sale and a coffee station

What time should I arrive?

We ask that you arrive at the studio at least 15 minutes before your class to ensure you have proper time for us to show you the studio, help you set up your bike, get settled in and warm up your body.

What should I wear?

Whatever you’re most comfortable in that will cause the least distraction. Classes take place in a hot room, so be prepared to SWEAT! Therefore, we recommend form fitting leggings or shorts that won’t interfere with the pedals, and a tank, tee or sports bra. Bring shoes with SPD if you have them!

Do I need my own shoes?

You can wear or rent any SPD-cleated or Delta cycle shoe. If you don’t have any you may rent clean shoes for just $5 at the front desk.
We suggest purchasing a pair of cycle shoes for the best ride possible. By clipping into your pedals, it creates a push-pull motion while you ride, and keeps your knees aligned preventing injury and allowing you to tone more muscles and burn more calories.
If you are interested in purchasing the perfect shoe for our studio, we recommend TIEM’s and would be happy to help order you a pair at the front desk.

How many calories will I burn?

The number of calories you’ll burn depends on a number of factors, including your weight and the intensity at which you exercise. Research indicates that on average, participants burn about 500–800 calories in a 50-minute workout.

Can I ride if I’m pregnant?

When it comes to any medical condition you’re unsure of, we always recommend you always check with your doctor first.

All no-show riders will be charged a $20 fee. No exceptions.
